3.3.6. Adjustment of gaps in valves
Exposure of the stator and rotor of the sensor at measurement of a gap
1. Stator
2. Rotor
Check a gap between the stator and a rotor not magnetic probe which has to be in 0,2 mm.
Valves are adjusted only on the diesel, other engines are equipped with hydropushers. On a part of engines valves of jets of additional injection which demand adjustment by a special technique are also provided.
Gaps of inlet and final valves on the heated-up engine of 0,25 mm.
DIESEL OF 2,3 L
Adjustment
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Warm up the engine.
2. Stop the engine and switch off ignition.
3. Expose the piston of the 1st cylinder in compression step VMT. For this purpose turn the crankshaft clockwise before combination of a tag on a pulley or an uspokoitel with inflow on the block of cylinders. Remove a valvate cover and check springs of valves of the 1st cylinder. If both springs or at least one are compressed, then turn the crankshaft on 1 turn. If yokes rock, then the piston of the 1st cylinder is in compression step VMT.
4. Release lock-nuts And.
5. Establish a gap of 0,25 mm and tighten a lock-nut.
6. Expose the piston of the 4th cylinder in VMT of a step of compression and adjust gaps in valves B.
7. Establish the removed details.
8. Check idling turns.
ENGINES 2,0 AND 2,6 L
On these engines only valves of fuel jets of the combustion chamber are adjusted.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Warm up the engine.
2. Stop the engine and switch off ignition.
3. Check the moment of an inhaling of bolts of a head of cylinders (see subsection 3.5.6).
5. Release a lock-nut of the valve of a zhikleraa rotating the screw, establish a gap of 0,25 mm (the probe has to slip with small effort). Tighten a lock-nut.
6. Adjust gaps of valves of other cylinders, according to an engine operating procedure.
7. Establish the removed details.
8. Check idling turns.
ENGINES 2,4, 3,0 AND 3,5 L
Gaps in valves of these engines are established only at repair of a head of cylinders (see subsection 3.5.6 and subsection 3.4.24).
